Schedule for Fall 2013

Saturday, October 12th

19th Annual Lobster Feed

Henry Cowell State Park

Our year wouldn't be complete without playing for our friends at Mountain Parks Foundation. This annual fund-raiser is really fun!--think bay laurel and redwoods; red tablecloths and long, family-style benches; twinkling stars and festive lights; and giant lobsters in boiling pots with all the trimmings--plus live bluegrass music (that's us).

Highway One will be playing from about 4:30 to 8:00, whenever we're not eating lobster. Jason Lampel will be joining us on banjo!

The Lobster Feed always sells out, but if you'd like to check for tickets, visit www.mountainparks.org

Sunday, October 20th

43rd Annual Art & Pumpkin Festival

Half Moon Bay

We're pleased to be a part of "Made On The Coast," a one-day, one-block gathering of local Coastside artists, authors, and musicians within the greater Pumpkin festival. Check it out on Sunday only, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

We'll be sharing the stage with two other Coastside bands: Chinese Melodrama and Califuegos. Highway One will play two sets: first at 11:00 a.m, then at 2:45 p.m.. We'll be joined by both Jason Lampel (banjo) and Paul Lee (fiddle).

The Made On The Coast block is on Main Street between Mill Street and Kelly Avenue, and the music stage will be in Cunha's parking lot. Our friend Paul Knight is running the sound, so we know we're in good hands! For more info, visit www.miramarevents.com/pumpkinfest/

Sunday, November 3rd

San Gregorio General Store

San Gregorio

We've played "The Store" many times through the years, but never as the "Highway One Trio"--Helen, Tom & Scott. We'll be singing lots of 3-part harmonies backed by guitar, mandolin, and bass, or sometimes two guitars and bass. We've played this way on the radio several times, and we rehearse like this a lot, but this will be our first all-trio gig. Watch us crash and burn!

We'll be playing the early set, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Houston Jones will be taking the later slot, from 2:00 to 5:00, so plan to come early and stay late...

The Store is located at the corner of Highway 84 and Stage Road, about a mile inland from Highway One (the road, not the band). For more info, call (650)726-0565 or visit www.sangregoriostore.com
